Ungarie War History Mural and Globe.
A must visit for any war history enthusiast, the Ungarie RSL Memorial Park pays homage to Ungarie service men and women throughout history, from the Boer War in the 1890’s through to the present day. The Giant Globe and surrounding War Murals meticulously painted by artist Simon White, depict scenes from the Boer War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam and Iran, highlighting the significance of Ungarie and it’s people throughout Australia’s war history. The rotating globe also illuminates at night, making for a popular local attraction.

The Big Football
Standing proud in the Bing Wallder Park on Wollongough street, this 800kg fibreglass replica Sherrin pays permanent tribute to Ungarie and Australia’s most famous footballing family – the Danihers. Ungarie born and bred Terry, Anthony, Neale and Chris Daniher are legends of Australian football and to this day remain as the only set of four brothers to step onto the field together in an AFL/VFL premiership match. Between them they played a total of 752 Premiership games for Essendon and Sydney.

Henderson Brothers Mural
This mural was designed to pay tribute to the Henderson Bros, who achieved many great things for the town during World War II and later. This included selling cars, and building an engine to bring power to the town. This Trompe-l’œil style mural painted by Artist Simon White, depicts the old 1950’s car sales room originally housed in this historical building.
